GZA’s Barry Stuedemann and Jay Womack named to Suppliers Partnership leadership posts

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA), a leading multi-disciplinary firm providing geotechnical, environmental, ecological, water, and construction management services, is honored to announce that Associate Principal Barry Stuedemann and Senior Landscape Architect Jay Womack have been appointed to leadership positions with the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP), an automotive industry group committed to positive environmental, economic, and community impacts.
Stuedemann and Womack have been selected, along with Navi Uppal, Corporate Sustainability--North America for American Honda Motor Company, Inc., to serve as co-leaders of SP’s Nature Based Solutions Work Group. Both leaders of GZA’s “Design with Nature” Studio, Stuedemann and Womack have been asked to bring their in-depth experience with nature-based strategies and green infrastructure to the group.
SP’s more than 160 member companies include global automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and other auto industry business partners. SP provides a forum for members, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to work together toward a shared vision of an automotive industry with positive environmental impact by advancing leading practices and projects in key areas, including more sustainable operations, materials, and supply chains.

Beyond its focus in supporting SP’s Nature Based Solutions, GZA has also provided expertise at SP events for members striving to achieve carbon neutrality and implement other sustainability strategies. GZA is positioned to provide this expertise for SP members based on its decades of experience providing a wide range of engineering and consulting services to the automotive industry, including air quality permitting and regulatory compliance, waste and water management, and land management solutions.
