Our experience includes terminal facilities, hangars, car rental facilities, fuel distribution and storage facilities, parking structures, hotels, aprons, elevated walkways, people movers, and roadways.  GZA has gained the insights necessary to successfully manage risk on the airside, conduct night work, plan for safety and security requirements, prepare detailed work authorizations, and collaborate with multi-discipline teams. We understand what it takes to scope and execute both large and small projects at these facilities – and meet budget and schedule goals, as well as provide cost-effective and environmentally sound approaches to satisfy client and environmental regulatory agency requirements. 

GZA’s multidisciplinary approach allows us to address the many different aspects of water infrastructure, from environmental impacts to climate resiliency in the face of stronger storms and more extreme weather. Example projects include GZA’s work on the Second Avenue Subway Tunnel in New York, design of the Consolidated Edison First Avenue Steam Tunnel, construction of the North Dorchester Bay CSO Storage Tunnel in Boston, Big Walnut Outfall Augmentation Sewer in Columbus, Ohio, the No. 7 Line Subway Extension in New York as well as pre-bid design services for the Port of Miami tunnel in Florida and the SR99 tunnel in Seattle.  GZA also provided geotechnical/tunnel design on the Third Catskill and Delaware Aqueduct for the New York City DEP which involved tunnel construction in limestone and shale.
