GZA Is Participating in Construction Safety Week, May 3-7 2021
At a Glance
As a firm providing essential services to the construction and other sectors, GZA has provided engineering and scientific consulting throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including at construction sites. We know that safety is a collaborative effort, and that attention to detail, maintaining focus, and asking for help when it’s needed makes a site safer for everyone.
At GZA we’ve developed a behavioral safety culture to limit the typical risks faced on construction sites, and we’ve adapted that to the atypical challenges of the pandemic, such as enhanced PPE, social distancing, and mental health awareness. This is why GZA is joining more than 65 construction firms across the U.S. and Canada during this industry-wide education and awareness event. This year’s theme is “Holistic Safety – Be Present. Be Focused. Be Safe.”
GZA will kick off Construction Safety Week with our own internal Safety Day on April 28th. This day has become a tradition at GZA and is meant to celebrate our safety accomplishments, introduce new or enhanced safety program elements, and highlight safe project performance. The following week we will provide specific educational materials to our project sites, provide safety Leadership Tour materials to our Principals, and collect stories and pictures highlighting the safe work GZA employees do every single day .
