Up to $1.5 Million Available for Water Quality Improvements in Long Island Sound

Restore America's Estuaries' Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund (LISCIF) is offering up to $1.5 million in competitive grants for its second round of funding. Eligible projects should address environmental justice concerns, improve water quality, and engage underserved communities within the Long Island Sound watershed in Connecticut and New York. The initiative is supported by the EPA and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, aiming to meet the Justice40 Initiative's goals of benefiting disadvantaged communities.

A Letter of Intent is due by November 22, 2024, with full proposals due by March 14, 2025. Examples of projects that have previously secured funding are available on the Restore America’s Estuaries website.

Applicants in the Long Island Sound have access to up to $9,950 per project for grant writing support from the Long Island Sound Study. GZA is an approved grant writer in both the New York and Connecticut programs.
