"The Best Day of the Year". On a recent Saturday in March, 350 employees from 24 states gathered at the Babson Executive Conference Center on the campus of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts for the Company’s annual Technical Conference – record-breaking attendance for this annual celebration of technical practice and excellence at GZA. Twenty-seven presentations were given throughout the day by GZA staff from twenty different offices on various projects and practices that span GZA’s five Core Services – Geotechnical, Environmental, Ecological, Water and Construction Management. Presentations that ranged from “Bat Identification” to the “Block Island Wind Farm” and beyond. The yearly conference is certainly both a festival and a reunion, andan experience that exemplifies what is central to “who GZA is and what we do.” for staff and practitioners and “It is the “most important investment of the year” according to Bill Hadge, CEO. “It is a time to come together to connect and, share knowledge, and something we believe is certainly something that is quite unique in the professional engineering and consulting world.”
The Technical Conference is an integral part of GZA’s Technical Practice Program that spans the majority of the firm’s 53 years and was created exists to “connect practitioners in every office, foster companywide collaboration, leverage experience and resources and promote consistency and quality.”
