Igor Runge to Chair EBC Rhode Island Chapter Program on Climate Change

PROVIDENCE, RI…ISSUED SEPTEMBER 7, 2016… GZA, a leading consulting firm addressing the impacts of climate change and hazard risk management, is proud to announce that Igor Runge, Ph.D., P.H. a Senior Project Manager in the Providence office, will chair the September 22nd EBC Rhode Island Chapter program “Climate Change – Implications for Infrastructure and Sea Level Rise.”

The program, slated from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and held at Shechtman Halperin Savage, LLP, 1080 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI, will provide attendees with an overview and update of the developments in climate change science; initiatives taken by the RI Department of Environmental Management; climate change’s impacts on transportation infrastructure; the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance Program; and legal ramifications for shoreline properties.
Runge, who joined GZA 14 years ago, received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
